November 2024 Ambassador Spotlight: Kevin Apolinar
Our Ambassadors are the right hand of the Chamber. They are the friendly faces that greet business and community members with warmth and enthusiasm. These exceptional connectors play a vital role in bridging gaps, fostering relationships, and ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and beneficial for you and your business.
This month, we’re excited to highlight one of these incredible individuals who is our newest addition to our Ambassador team. Please join us in celebrating our Ambassador Spotlight of the Month, Kevin Apolinar with Behavior Shift!
Learn a little more about Kevin below!
What inspired you to become an ambassador for the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber?
I've been blessed by many people who have poured their time and wisdom into me, and now I feel called to reciprocate. Becoming an ambassador allows me to add value to others, especially aspiring entrepreneurs, by being a resource within the community. The Chamber is a champion for local businesses. I want to champion sound personal finance and fiscal responsibility, helping others build a strong foundation for their future.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
First and foremost, I want to be remembered as a follower of Christ. I am an immigrant, and in the early stages of my career, I wouldn't say I liked small talk. But over time, I've become passionate about asking meaningful questions to get to know people better and build deeper connections.
How has being an ambassador opened new opportunities for you?
Being an ambassador has allowed me to share my personal story in a genuine, non-sales way, which I truly value. I'm not too fond of slimy sales tactics and aim to position myself as a credible and trusted resource within the community. This role has given me the platform to form long-term relationships and foster trust, something I take seriously in a world full of quick, shallow information.
What’s your favorite local hidden gem that you think everyone should know about?
We're still new to the area and have yet to truly explore the different restaurants, activities, and other businesses. However, I want to thank Heather Estrada, Nadine Kotob, and Chris Jones. From the beginning, when I expressed my interest in joining the Chamber, they have always been there for me. Nadine, Heather, and Chris are truly invaluable members of the Chamber.
If you could make one positive change in the community, what would it be and why?
One change I'd like to see is better communication across the community. Strong communication is the foundation of every relationship. To support this, I plan to launch a podcast featuring the stories of local business owners in Murrieta and Wildomar. This will create a space for learning from each other and a more connected, supportive community.
As we continue to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Ambassadors, we are reminded of the important role they play in fostering a vibrant and connected business community. Their passion for supporting local businesses and strengthening relationships is what makes our Chamber thrive. Be sure to stay tuned for next month's Ambassador Spotlight, and don’t forget to say hello the next time you see one of these friendly faces at an event! Together, we are building a stronger community.
