Five Things The Chamber Did For Your Business: November 4 – November 8, 2024

Week of Monday, November 4 - Friday, November 8 2024

At the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, our mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth by championing business, convening leaders and ideas, and being the purveyor of fun. We are committed to fostering a thriving business community in Southwest Riverside County and this past week, we’ve been busy engaging with key initiatives that impact our members, support local businesses, and build stronger community connections. Here’s a closer look at Five Things the Chamber Did for Your Business This Past Week:

1. Celebrated Temecula Winnelson on 25 Years of Outstanding Service

We had the distinct honor of celebrating Temecula Winnelson’s 25th anniversary of outstanding service, commitment, and community impact! Over the past quarter-century, Temecula Winnelson has consistently embodied a mission rooted in leaving a lasting, positive impression through every interaction. Guided by core principles—Kindness, Respect, Honesty, and Positivity—Temecula Winnelson has created a culture of excellence and mutual support. They believe in kindness as a foundation of goodwill, respect as essential in building strong relationships, honesty as a core value for integrity and trust, and positivity as the mindset that drives success and resilience. These values shape every aspect of their business, ensuring that each interaction makes a meaningful, positive impact. As a locally owned business within a national organization, Temecula Winnelson combines the agility and personal touch of a small business with the vast resources and inventory of a large, nationally backed corporation. They uphold the Golden Rule daily, working hard to do things right, one customer at a time. Thank you, Temecula Winnelson, for 25 years of dedication to quality, community, and service. Your commitment to excellence and integrity has enriched the lives of many. Here’s to the next 25 years of continued success and positive impact!

2. Attended the Ontario Airport 2024 State of the Airport

We attended the Ontario International Airport 2024 State of the Airport event to stay informed on the latest developments at one of the region's most vital transportation hubs. As a key part of the Inland Empire’s economic infrastructure, Ontario International (ONT) plays a critical role in connecting our businesses and residents to broader markets, both domestically and internationally. For our Chamber, being present at this event reinforced our commitment to fostering strong partnerships with major regional entities like ONT, as the airport's expansion directly impacts our local economy, tourism, and business development. By attending, we gained a deeper understanding of ONT’s ongoing improvements—such as new direct services and international flight capabilities—that will open up more opportunities for businesses in the Inland Empire. We also recognized the importance of advocating for infrastructure investments and ensuring that the Chamber’s voice is part of conversations that will shape the future of transportation and economic growth in our region. The State of the Airport event highlighted the airport’s role as a key driver for both business and community prosperity, and it was essential for us to be there to support these efforts and stay engaged in shaping our regional economic landscape.

3. November Mixer hosted by Europa Village

We had a fantastic time at our November Mixer, hosted by Europa Village in their stunning Barcelona Room at Bolero. The evening was filled with meaningful connections, vibrant conversations, and the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful setting of Europa Village's Spanish-inspired venue. Europa Village is more than just a winery; it’s a place that brings people together, offering world-class wines, incredible scenery, and an atmosphere that encourages conversation and collaboration. Members and guests were welcomed with Europa's warm hospitality and enjoyed a selection of their renowned wines and delicious bites. The ambiance of the Barcelona Room perfectly set the tone for a memorable evening, where local professionals and business owners came together to network, share ideas, and build valuable relationships. Thank you to Europa Village for providing such an elegant space and exceptional service. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and made this mixer a huge success and we hope to see you at our December Mixer hosted by Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley as they showcase their Annual Christmas Tree Lane at the Promenade Temecula Mall!

4. Met with CalChamber Leadership to Discuss AB 98

We were honored to be one of 19 Inland Empire chambers that met with Jennifer Barrera, CEO of CalChamber, Ben Golombek, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff for Policy, and Adam Regele, Vice President of Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships, to engage in an important discussion about AB 98. This meeting was a critical opportunity for us to delve into the nuances of the bill’s language and better understand the legislative process, particularly the gut-and-amend procedure, which is a significant part of how many bills evolve in Sacramento. The conversation also highlighted the need for CalChamber to be more proactive in its engagement with chambers in the Inland Empire. Given the unique challenges and opportunities our region faces, it’s vital that our voices are heard in the legislative process. This dialogue underscored the importance of stronger, more direct communication between CalChamber and local chambers to ensure that policies are reflective of and responsive to the needs of our communities. Through this meeting, a valuable communication channel has been established that will allow Inland Empire chambers to play a more active, informed role in shaping legislation. By partnering more closely with CalChamber, we can now collaborate on key issues that affect businesses throughout our region, ensuring our collective voices are heard in Sacramento. This alignment will not only enhance our advocacy efforts but also strengthen the economic and policy outcomes for the Inland Empire as a whole.

5. Joined Senator Kelly Seyarto for the 2024 Veterans Expo

Supporting our military community is a priority for the Chamber, and we were proud to join Senator Kelly Seyarto for the 2024 Veterans Expo. This event allowed us to promote our Hiring Our Heroes initiative, which connects military veterans with career opportunities in Southwest Riverside County. This initiative is especially important for the Chamber because it addresses a critical need in our community by providing resources and support to help veterans transition from military service to civilian careers. Additionally, it creates a valuable talent pool for local businesses, while helping veterans build meaningful careers. By championing programs like Hiring Our Heroes, we contribute to the success of both veterans and local businesses, creating a more robust workforce and fostering economic growth in the region.

At the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber, we’re committed to being a catalyst for economic growth by championing businesses, convening leaders and ideas, and fostering a fun and thriving business community in Southwest Riverside County. Whether it’s celebrating new developments, supporting our youth, or welcoming fresh opportunities for business growth, we’re here to drive positive change.
